3 Academy Awards for The Social Network

It was Steven Spielberg himself who announced the best picture winner at the 83rd annual Academy Awards on Sunday. But in the end, “The Social Network” couldn’t stand up to “The King’s Speech” which won four Academy Awards on the night, including best original screenplay, best director and best actor.

However, David Fincher’s The Social Network, a film that dramatized the story behind Mark Zuckerberg and the creation of the popular website Facebook, picked up three awards. Arron Sorkin won the adapted screenplay award, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross were honored for best original score for The Social Network and Angus Wall and Kirk Baxter claimed the best editing award.
