Facebook and Google want to buy Twitter

There are new reports which say that Google and Facebook may do battle to aquire Twitter. In 2008, Twitter rejected an offer from Facebook of $500 million in stock. Now, the company increased in value and is worth more or less than $8 to $10 billion! At least that is what Google and Facebook offered for the acquisition of Twitter. During the last 10 months, Twitter raised its value from $250 million in february 2010 to $3.7 billion in december 2010. We are excited about this news and will see whether Facebook or Google will be able to clinch the deal. Recently, Twitter boss Dick Costolo said that they want to stay independant instead of going public.
